Welcome to the MoTeC i2 Pro VideoGen Beta with TrackVision

MoTeC i2 Pro now includes automated synchronization of video with the logged data. The combination of ADL2 Dash Manager 4.5 or higher plus the new Video Sync Module [VSM] and i2 Pro V1.03.0020 will automatically synchronize the video with the data within i2 Pro. i2 Pro's new VideoGen feature seamlessly integrates with TrackVision to combine the video and data into high quality video like this:

Download and Install TrackVision for the i2 Pro Beta

Our free demonstration version of TrackVision works perfectly with i2 Pro and has all the features of the licensed TrackVision product, with two exceptions:

  • Finished video can be Shown but not Saved.
  • A Main Concept logo is displayed if your input video is in MPEG and H.264 format.

  • Uncheck the 'Warn on Save Movie...' and 'Show/Save Movie...' boxes.

  • Check 'Use PAL frame sizes...' if you do not want NTSC [US and Japan] frame sizes.

  • Click OK, then exit TrackVision.

  • TrackVision is now ready for i2 Pro VideoGen operation.

    Using i2 Pro VideoGen

  • Open your log file and your video in i2 Pro. The video will be automatically synced with the data, and you are ready to create a TrackVision video.
  • Click File/Generate Video, and you will see the following dialog:

  • Select the channel in your log file that contains RPM and Speed, and the correct speed units.
  • On the right, select the matching channel for each.
  • i2 Pro will store these settings, so you will only need to do this once.
  • When you are ready, click Run TrackVision.

  • i2 Pro will start TrackVision with the data and the video loaded, synchronized, and ready to Show your video.

  • Click Show Movie, and you will see the Movie Options dialog

  • OK to show your first TrackVision video.

    What's Next?

When your video finishes, you will be returned to the TrackVision project screen. You can drag the red and green editing arrows to set new start and end points for the video. This is an easy way to isolate a single lap or an incident within the video. Now, when you click Show Movie, TrackVision will use your new Start and End times.

You can experiment with Movie Options settings including:

  • Transparency, which controls the transparency of the data dashboard
  • Frame Margin, which moves the data dashboard away from the frame border for DVD creation
  • Event Title, where you can add title information that will appear on your video
  • You can select a different dashboard. Dashboards are easy to modify, and many of our users create their own
  • You will see your changes in the preview window as you make them.

  • If you have licensed TrackVision, you can save your movies in DV, MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, or Windows Media Video format
  • You can select from a large range of frame sizes, including wide screen 16:9 formats

  • There's much more, of course.
