The Autronic SM4 engine management system provides a logged file of basic parameters that can now be read by TrackVision.
The channels logged are:
- RPM [engine speed]
- Throttle position
- Load
- Intake Temp
- Coolant Temp
- Speed [MPH or KPH] _________________ Tony Kelly

Tony,
Stupid question, but how do you save or data log with the SM4? Seems almost impossible to find out online.
Great product, TV2.1 by the way.
Cheers,

The EFI channels from my Racepak G2X logger, such as rpm and temps cant be exported. I do have the possibility to select them in the export dialog box, but the data wont appear in trackvision graphics, only the standard rpm channel from the G2X from the upper left window, but that is not in use.. And I cant edit this list of preselects channels. Only the basic info from the G-meter and GPS kmh seems to be working with the trackvision software.
Is this a know issue?
How can I make sure that the autronic EFI data from my racepak loggercan be utlized by the trackvision software?
thanks:-)
Looking forward to use this throughout the racing season!

Hey Mats,
There are two things required to set up your channels:
- you can export the channels from DatalinkII pretty easily. Sounds like you might be using a back release of DLII. The current releases include a 'Create TrackVision video' button which gives you a list of ALL your channels and lets you select your custom channels for export to TrackVision.
See http://www.trackvision.net/DatalinkII.shtml for more info on this/
- We'll need to give you a new logger file that maps your AFI channels to the appropriate TrackVision variables.
If you can sort out the first step, just send me the csv [support[at]TrackVision.net] and I'll send you back a custom logger that takes case of your channels. _________________ Tony Kelly

Hi, I have still not solved this issue. I am using DLII v.3.5 so I do have the export function. But still none of my V-net channels are visible in the trackvision software. Like TPS would be really cool to have. temps and EFI rpm.
I use vista, DL II3.5, and latest TV2.1.
I have sent you an email also
best

Could it be as simple as channel names, files or folder name issues?

I renamed EFI TPS to Throttle Pos. And now it appears in the trackvision.
Watertemp does not, even though I use the same trick. I guess reason is that noen of the stock dash's have watertemp display.
the EFI rpm I cannot make work, so I guess I have to connect the G2X rpm tacho input to my Autronic tacho output wire to make this happen.

Hi
I then realized that renaming the stock channel name Engine RPM to G2X Engine Rpm to get that out of the way, and then rename EFI RPM to Engine RPM, I got the channel working in TV! cool.
Then I have found the workaround:-)

Nice work, Matts! Now you really understand how this works. Its pretty simple. If you look at the logger properties file [in \Apex Visusalizations\TrackVision\loggers] you'll see that they are small text files with two parts:
- The first section deals with how to read the specific csv format, including which row to find the channel names and some format options]
- The second section is simply pairs of TrackVision variable names [rpm for example] and the csv channel name.
Its easy to modify once you've seen how it works. Simple and clean.
Let me know by email which dashboard you like and I'll add your water temp channel display, and any other channels you want.
I will be away all next week, so will not get to this until the week of 6 June. _________________ Tony Kelly
