TrackVision™ Products

Track Vision V2.0 introduces a completely new selection of purchase and demo options that make it even easier to download a trial copy and to purchase for first-time users purchasing TrackVision or TrackVision Pro, and for existing TrackVision users upgrading to V2.0.

Here are the choices:

Download Free TrackVision™ Trial

You can download TrackVision V2.0 free of charge for evaluation. This demonstration version offers all the features of the retail version, but is limited to show 30 seconds of merged video. Also, the demonstration version cannot save videos to disk. The demo comes complete with sample video and data files so you can see how easy it is to use. You don't need a data logger and day at the track to try out TrackVision!

The demonstration version includes trial copies of the Main Concept video codecs. When you use Show Movie from an MPEG2, MPEG4, or H.264 input video, the movie will play with a Main Concept logo in the frame. This logo does not appear in the purchased version of TrackVision.

Purchase TrackVision™ Pro

Videos created with TrackVision carry a partially transparent TrackVision logo in the top left corner, which you can see below.
TrackVision Pro produces video without the TrackVision logo watermark.

Some of the sample videos and images you see on this site have a different version of the logo, because they were generated by very early pre-release versions of TrackVision. The first generally available version and the current version have the logo you see above. We will soon remove all of the older videos and images from this site, despite their great historical and sentimental value.

When setting the price for TrackVision, we had a choice between a price which would cover the high cost of advertising, or a much lower price with the logo which would help to spread the word between users. We chose the lower price, and not one of our users raised the logo as an issue for more than a year after the product was first released.

Some users have asked if the logo can be removed from Saved videos. TrackVision Pro produces video without the TrackVision logo and website address watermark, or with a watermark added by the user which will appear in the same position on the screen and with the same transparency as the TrackVision watermark.

TrackVision Pro can be purchased via a secure online transaction for $295.00.

Your purchase provides an activation key that allows you to register the installed product, which unlocks the full functionality of TrackVision.

An upgrade from TrackVision V2.0 to TrackVision V2.0 Pro can be purchased via a secure online transaction for $100.00.

TrackVision™ Desktop 2.0

TrackVision Desktop is a Microsoft Windows™ application that enhances your in-car video with telemetry collected by a data logger. The data logger collects information such as speed, engine RPMs, lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration and track position. TrackVision Desktop merges this data with the video shot by a camera mounted inside your car, or on your bike, kart, boat, plane or even your helmet to produce a dynamically updated dashboard. The dashboard can be configured to display any data that your logger can store and export. In fact, some loggers can store a very large number of channels, including suspension travel, brake pressure, individual brake temperatures, inlet and exhaust temperatures, manifold pressure, boost, fuel pressure and temperature, and more. GPS-based loggers also produce data that TrackVision uses to create a dynamic track map. Some typical channels are shown below, but there are many more:

  • A track map with real-time car position
  • Engine speed in RPM
  • Car speed in MPH or KPH
  • Braking and Acceleration
  • Lateral G-forces
  • Current lap time
  • Best lap time for the session
  • Horsepower and torque
  • Over 60 parameters captured by most loggers!
The dashboard itself is configurable. You can select from a design included with the software or create your own using any desktop graphics program. In most cases the data can be displayed in either graphical (e.g. a round tachometer) or digital format.

The merged video can be viewed as it's created or saved to a file.
